Celebrating Bluebird’s Commitment to People

Conscious Alliance

Happy February, flock!

The Bluebirds have started the new year off with a bang. As you may have heard, Bluebird Botanicals recently became a Certified B Corporation® that meets the highest standards of social and environmental responsibility. This certification reaffirms our commitment as a mission-driven company to a triple bottom line: people, profits, and planet.

Our team is equally ecstatic and humbled to receive this honor and join the ranks of Patagonia, Ben & Jerry’s, Dr. Bronner’s, and 3,100+ other companies committed to using business as a force for good. We’ve been in pursuit of this certification for a long time because we yearn to be more than just a profit-driven company. Bluebird Botanicals opened its doors with the mission to make happy and healthy lifestyles radically accessible to everyone, and we work hard to bring that mission to life in everything we do.

But what exactly does this commitment to a triple bottom line mean for us, our customers, and our partners? How will Bluebird’s future be shaped around this mission to make the world a better place?

Over the next three months on the Bluebird blog, we’ll be diving into the themes of people, profits, and planet to examine exactly how we prioritize these vital aspects of the B Corp mission in our daily operations. We’ll be examining not only the way Bluebird lives out its mission, but also what’s happening in the world around us and how you can join in our mission, too.

If you missed our recent Bluebird’s 2020 Vision blog, we laid out our company goals for the year in line with the B Corp tenants of people, profits, and planet. Our “people” goals for 2020 include the following:

  • To embrace our inherent quirkiness, our hearts, and our spirits.
  • To foster personal and professional growth for all Bluebird employees.
  • To preserve and grow the inclusive and diverse culture we’ve built.
  • To deliver a better life to everyone who engages with the Bluebird brand.

So, this month on the Bluebird blog, we’ll be focusing on the theme of “people.” We’ll be exploring topics around self-care, community service, World Social Justice Day, customer care at Bluebird, and fostering diversity and growth in the workplace. We invite you to follow along and learn more about how Bluebird lives out its commitment to people, both inside and outside our four company walls.
